Aufgaben
  • You will contribute during the early development phase to prepare designs for gas and fluid dynamic architectures of mechatronic and optical components taking into account performance, timing and costs
  • You develop models and methods for the simulation of gas and liquid flows for the cooling and rinsing of microlithography equipment
  • As a system engineer, you develop concepts and verify them using flow simulations (1D/3D) and define tests for design verification and model validation
  • Your work takes place in close coordination with interdisciplinary teams consisting of internal and external developers, service providers and suppliers
  • An important part of this is the development and coordination of requirements in close contact with all relevant stakeholders as well as the preparation of development documents
  • As part of industrialization, another task is to ensure design verification, manufacturing and integration capability, and risk management
  • Within a mechatronics team, you will represent your allocated topics to development projects and customers. The activity is embedded in a development network consisting of customers, external partners from the high-tech industry and research institutions

Profil
  • A very good university degree in aerospace engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics with professional experience in industry and science
  • In-depth knowledge of turbulent flow theory and numerical modeling of turbulent sub- and supersonic flows (RANS, LES, hybrid methods)
  • Experience in the simulation of multiphase and reactive high- and low-pressure flows (Kn>>1)
  • Experience in the determination of aeroacoustic source fields and the calculation of sound propagation in fluids (CFD/FEM/CAA) and acoustic interaction with solids (FSI)
  • Several years of experience in programming and application of CFD, FE, CAA, DSMC
  • An independent and systematic work ethic and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Pleasure in working as part of an interdisciplinary team in a highly dynamic environment
  • Very good organization, communication and presentation skills for tasks and work results
  • Very good command of written and spoken English and German
