In Diagnostics Operations Assay Production in Mannheim (DOMA), we manufacture over 1.700 sales and 2.700 intermediate products. By manufacturing diagnostics tests from the batch to the final product, more than 800 employees in DOMA make a crucial contribution to healthcare systems worldwide. As Senior Business Data Manager in the DOMA unit, you are jointly responsible for the digitization of production and business processes. You will contribute to the creation of company-wide standardized structures and enable data analyses with innovative methods.
Your key responsibilities:
Translator: Domain expert capable to identify digital opportunities and to facilitate interface between business and data analysts in iterating models and insights
Data Scientist: Create data structures suitable for analysis and run advanced analytics models to generate insights and predict future events
Your new job also includes:
Batch data analysis and transformation, ensuring data quality reports which trigger process changes and master data/production data proposals (structure and aggregation level)
Bi-variate or multivariate correlation analysis and regression/classification/discrete time simulation techniques to generate production relevant insights
Problem identification in the production environment and identification of solution approaches with the help of digital workflow analysis
Creation of improved cost models through total cost considerations
Generation of absolute performance benchmarks via mathematical models
Design of performance metrics that can be measured via data-driven methods to increase transparency
You bring a university degree in IT, science/mathematics and/or a technical higher educational degree in mathematics/statistics engineering. You are a standout colleague: building good and trustful partnership in a team as well as with interface functions is one of your talents. You were able to train and demonstrate your good analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to coordinate and communicate well in previous roles.
Desired qualifications, skills & knowledge:
5-7 years of experience in relevant field of activity, at least 5 years of experience in leading projects in manufacturing/supply chain environment
Good solution determination and implementation skills
Solid SAP knowledge (SAP PI-PP / MM /FI/ PM & PI) and of the SAP HANA database
Good programming skills (Python/R: tensorflow/scipy/pandas/numpy) with several years (3+) of application experience
Very good knowledge of databases (SQL or non-SQL dialect) is key whilst it is an asset to have knowledge in Tableau or equivalent visualization tools
You are empathetic and able to weigh different points of view constructively and profitably for all parties involved
You are curious person and challenges motivate you to strive
Your English is business fluent and you also have a good command of German
