Profil

As a Systems Engineer for optical metrology, you will enhance our high-precision metrology systems further, to achieve even higher accuracies. And, within a team of highly skilled experts, you will elaborate the definition and architecture of new devices and bring them into implementation phase. Your tasks will include:

• Acquisition and derivation of system requirements from stakeholder analysis and feedback from internal customers

• Generation of functional and physical views on system architecture, elaboration of suitable system break downs and coordination of internal as well as external interfaces

• Identification of design conflicts and execution of associated trade-offs

• Definition and maintenance of technical budgets and derivation of subsystem specifications

• Preparation of strategic decision making, like Make-or-Buy, Build-to-Print / Build-to-Spec, and contribution to supplier nomination

• Supplier follow-up concerning technical matters and participation to milestone reviews

Your profile:

• Master's degree in engineering or natural sciences with first years of working experience or PhD in relevant field

• Hands-on knowledge in at least one of the following subjects: design and development of special-purpose machinery or optical instruments, automation and control systems, metrology, calibration

• Methodological skills in the field of systems engineering are desirable, such as requirements management, definition and maintenance of technical budgets or the implementation of system break downs

• First experience in lateral leadership, particularly concerning decision making, employee motivation, agility and relationship building

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
