Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center in Rüsselsheim, Germany is a young, dynamic company with its roots in South Korea. The Asian vibe can be felt throughout the whole company, making it a one-of-a-kind place to work.

In order to build on the success story in Korea, Hyundai Motor Company started to open R&D Centers for all main markets worldwide. The purpose of Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center is to make sure that every Hyundai, KIA and Genesis which comes to Europe meets the demanding standards of the European customer and is adapted to the needs of that specific market.

To ensure this, we take on a wide range of research and development tasks at HMETC with a motivated team from many countries and cultures. These tasks cover the areas of Powertrain, Vehicle Development, Planning & Project Management, Electronic Systems, Commercial Vehicles, Design and a wide range of tasks in Corporate Functions for all three of the Group's strong brands.

To start shortly, we are currently seeking a

(Sr.) Engineer HEV Drivability Development (m/f/d)


Aufgaben
  • Developing and calibrating HEV mass production projects
  • Calibrating HEV powertrains in terms of general drivability, Shift Quality & Pattern, Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) for BEV
  • Benchmarking main competitor vehicles with a focus on HEV technology functionalities
  • Developing new calibration methods for HEV powertrains
  • Support of other activities like, In Service Verification (ISV), Vehicle Emission & Coast Down Tests, Legislation Study, etc.
  • Defining and developing software function logics
  • Project planning while ensuring optimal resources and timeframe
  • Documenting and presenting project & development results
  • Cooperating closely with HMETC departments and R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea)

Profil

  • Degree in mechanical/ electronic/ automotive engineering
  • Min. 5 years of experience in AT / DCT / HEV Transmission Calibration
  • Experience in EV / HEV powertrain systems is a plus
  • Passion for innovative technologies with an overview of the relevant market trends
  • Willingness to travel and valid European driving license B
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as a problem solving mentality
  • A very good command of English, intercultural & communication skills
  • Proficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel
